I outted the person who wrote under a series of pseudonyms such utterly vile and contemptible slander about a group of distinguished Australian jazz artists. Any colleague worth their salt would respond with contempt to those postings if they responded at all. Some colleagues didn't respond that way and rather seemed to enjoy the show and/or ask for more. I thought they were worth outing too. "Killjoy" eh? Joy?? You took joy? Nice for people to know who their friends are: if Tony Gould, the Sedergreens or Joe C. visit this thread I am truly sorry to leave it standing but I think it needs to be demonstrated that there is something truly rotten in the hearts of a small sub-group of Melbourne jazz musicians. By their words shall we know them. |

Sorry Mark - that doesnt wash...there has been some truly toxic shit posted on this site before and the reaction has never been this .. extreme. I have posted some lame stuff here too - like practically every other bod who logs on , but nothing of this sort.If you looked around you would find that this story appeared on another thread and like several people who didnt know it , I was curious....
There are a couple of good friends of mine mentioned in that thread and while it is stands as vile rubbish, I would hope that they would treat it with the same contempt that I do ..and ignore it.Rather than waste even more energy expressing outrage that helps noone... this sort of reaction is a delight to those who want to stir something up. BTW , most people down here know my pseudonym as it was actually given to me by someone else.Its more the principle really....

I feel I should clarify some things at this point. For one, yes hello I am(was) ironguts. Most of you knew this already, but now I'm out (outed) of the closet. I am and have not been any other character on this forum and in no way am I responsible for the writing that set off this thread. Now my time as IG was fun and I don't regret any post under that name as I enjoyed the 'devils advocate' type of role it held for me, this is what I refer to when I say killjoy. It was not in reference to the vinaio posts, which by the way are perfectly placed as "vile rubbish", and I am surprised that they were not censord in this case. The thing is in this case that still no-one knows who wrote it and the only names implicated by Marks actions are mine and GH's , both of whom have nothing to do with it.
I will miss my ironguts posts, though I'm sure he may not be missed. I promoise to work on my spelling during my outedness.
I do however still hold curiosity about the toilet brush incident.

Because you knew these Identities Mark you had a responsibility to confidentiality and this deciept has ,In fact, been the greatest of abuses. Most musicians can take any amount of knocks and have all heard the vilest of language.You have robbed this forum of some of the great creative laterality that It held .Something for which I was prepared to wade through some shit to get to.
