We all have an idea of who might be the fastest muso in Australia. That is, the fastest tenor player, the fastest piano player etc etc
I'm curious to know whether there are any contenders for the slowest muso in Australia...
By slowest I mean someone who is skillful (and gutsy) enough to play very little in a situation where all those around are playing alot. (like a jam situation....)
What do you reckon?

Phil Slater, although he can be lightning fast if he wants.

chaps, Colin Hopkins is painfully slow. revoltingly, achingly, nauseatingly slow. last time I saw him play I was napping at BL. actually it wasn't a nap. it was two hours of blissful, relaxing deep sleep. the guy is like serapax. obviously you are not attending enough of his gigs. space? jesus, he designs space. does anyone on here know about space?

I think Frank meant playing wise, not just generally slow

I freakin loved that old alto player - you could see his brain ticking over for the next note as he played...
boy I reckon he could have told some stories!

I wonder if Paul Bley minds being paraphrased with this topic?
Frank knows exactly what I mean.
