Mmmm, let me take those replies the wrong way...
Everyone knows that the drummers in Earth, Wind and Fire were Maurice and Fred White.

Yep. They were also brothers of the bass player, Verdine White. Maurice was the eldest, and later sang, which is when Fred (the youngest of the 3) started playing with them. Fred had previously played with Donny Hathaway I think. I vaguely recall somebody telling me he was about 16yo on Donny's Live album.

I think Fred White was actually 15 on that Live record. I've not found a definitive answer anywhere, but I've got a book on funk drummers that briefly mentions he did that tour on his summer break near the end of high school. Didn't know he played with E, W & F though.
