Rolling around on the internet I came across mention of the London Jazz Festival, which I must admit I'd never heard of but I guess they must have one. Which leads me to my quiz question for the day (no cheating now): which Australian artiste do you think is on the bill, alongside the likes of Charlie Haden, Charlie Hunter, Jan Garbarek, Chick Corea, Tord Gustavsen, Joshua Redman, Sonny Rollins and Billy Cobham? Anyone? Budget clearly no object.

I played at the London Fest one year and was lucky enough to see De Johnette do a solo gig. 2 tunes on piano then a 15 minute blaze on drums then another piano solo,,,, the Drum solo was amazing,,,, the piano, mmm, well, I'm glad I didn't pay. Had a really nice sleep to Steve Swallows real book gig too, BORING. The highlight, Trio Clusone, very amazing. Apologies for spelling of names. but as they say, who gives a rats,,,,,
