What happened to the post-Wang bitch-fest? C'mon some of us have to live vicariously through people who did go....

I heard that aj had a big fight with Mike Knock and that Dave Holland had to break it up! aj and Dave then went out for a drink and really hit it off and were found in the spa together drinking pink Champagne by house keeping at 7.30 am. I also heard Mike was so jealous that he put the hard word on Barney, but he was already promised to Kurt for the night. Anyway, Mike ended up having to settle for a cuddle with our forum leader next to the pond in the park. That's what I heard.

Adrian you clearly don't use Facebook do you? That's where all the beatching is these days.
Here's my gossip:
I heard Cartman's mother had a great time flinging her knickers at Phil Slater during one of his solos with Mothership, snogging poster boy Dave Beck backstage at the Cathedral, and stalking some German trombone guy. I believe she also managed to exchange body fluids with four members of a jazz family at the festival (but that is probably one of those nasty rumours spread by a rival groupie).
I believe the hugging of musicians by Jazz boilers went up by a remarkable 72 percent.
The advertising space in the town hall was an interesting addition to the festival. Now I know where to buy my next set of curtains.
As I already thanked everyone in advance... tough. But it was the best Wang ever starting on 11 and staying there. I'm a little surprised at the judges decision, agreed with final three but not the order. I'm frustrated I missed the cathedral gig of Jules' trio. I caught the town hall gig though. Hopkins gig with Danny Fischer was exquisite (but I would say that wouldn't I?). NY has clearly done wonders for DF.
My wish list for next year includes room service live jazz at the Gateway (MN's idea) so I don't have to queue. And a better system than the reserved seating, which didn't work very well again.
Best gigs. All of them except for one cruise ship act which was passable but predictable.
Best dressed: Shannon Barnett.
Funniest mic: Alcohotlicks drummer guy.
Grooviest instrument: Trombone!
Best artistic director: Mr Jackson.
[glow=red,2,300]Best Band to book next year: STREAMERS (listening to the new CD today it's very groovy). Be at their gig on November 13th or be incredibly dull.[/glow]
Best solo artist missing from the festival: Jessica Williams.
Craziest punter award: myself and many, many others. Why are jazz punters so weird? I almost feel normal at that festival.

Oh, come on Vicki, don't be diplomatic. What order did you want? Which was the cruise ship act? Dish!

All complaints about what didn't work with the reserved ticket system, and suggestions as to how it should be done, will be treated seriously !

Oh, come on Vicki, don't be diplomatic. What order did you want? Which was the cruise ship act? Dish! Mim, you are perhaps not aware that these days I try to reserve my tactlessness for live performances - where there is no modify button! Although I suspect I managed to get through this year's Twang without embarrassing Adrian, I could be wrong. I can't speak for any of the other people forced to endure my company during the festival, and frankly - I'd rather not ask them!

So who won the git comp? Controversial decision? I love it when that happens. . . .

I know who won that. That alto player from the Saturday night jam, what's his name, ya know who I'm talking about. I think Marc kicked him or summat, a couple of years back...
