A jazz band with the lineup of: a chick singer, piano, bass, drums and a sax player are having a rehearsal. As the regular sax player can't do the gig, he's got a dep in for the rehearsal. The bass player, who runs the band, is talking through the form of the tune to the new sax player. "The intro is as written in 4/4. The A section is as written but in 3/4. When you get to the Bridge, transpose it up a minor 3rd and go back to 4/4. The last A section is in 5/4 time and up a tritone." The sax player is jotting down all this information on a notepad. The bass player continues. "The solo section is as written all in 4/4 time. Take the D.S which will be down a tone and in 7/8 then through to the CODA which is up a minor 9th and in 27/16. The new sax player is madly jotting it all down and starting to sweat. The chick singer, confused, turns to the bass player and says, "I can't remember that arrangement". The bass player say's to her, "well you should, cos that's how you sung it last time!!!!"

Booo. Old joke. A singer sits in with a band, and calls 'Bye Bye Blackbird', "How about B major boys?" The band looks very worried, so the singer says, "What, too fast?".
