My dad got one today for classical music, and I was so very proud. Now I'm not so sure...

Good to see some Order of Australia medals being handed out to people for their services to the arts, especially jazz : * Albert Dadon * Bruce Clarke Albert Dadon's award is also for services to business and charity: "For service to the arts, particularly through the Melbourne Jazz Festival, to the community through philanthropic support for cultural and charitable organisations, and to business." I think AJ should get one too if we are talking about services to jazz. Well, you'd be on my list anyway AJ! And do tell who is your Dad, Mim? There are heaps of Crellins listed on the website, are they all related?

My dad got an OAM: "Mr Keith Thomas CRELLIN - For service to classical music and musicians through artistic leadership, as an educator and mentor, and as a musician." He's Head of Strings at the Con in Adelaide, and Artistic Director or the Adelaide Youth Orchestra. Was just kidding, I am obviously proud. Dad played it down, but I think it's pretty great. And ditto, AJ shoulda got one. How does one get nominated for these things? edit: as far as I know, Vicki, we're not related to any of the other Crellins on the website. But it's possible.

You could nominate John Felstead for contributions to arts jeremy, eg. keeping Bennetts bar sales healthy.
