Meant to post here about the one-hour interview feature with me that Andrew Ford did for The Music Show which was broadcast today (Saturday 31) from 10am-11am. It will be repeated tonight (Saturday 31 night) from 10pm-11pm ABC Radio National. Also available on the Web at www.abc.net.au/rn/music/mshow/ just select the July 31 program and click on "First Hour".

Mark we listened and were delighted to hear you on, it was a real treat. I love that show. Well done to RN and you too! Others can let them know how much they enjoyed hearing jazz on RN/ABC by going to the website and emailing them a comment - this might help get other aspiring jazz musicians on RN. www.abc.net.au Cheers VHB

"other aspiring jazz musicians"? Surely Mark Isaacs has gone a bit beyond "aspiring"?

Oh sigh... today's lesson:
Aspire: to strive toward an end: aspiring to great knowledge. To soar.
Yes, I see what you are getting at I think but I do think Mark aspires to learn and grow as an artist. Any artist worth their paint, salt or Steinway surely would.
What genius would want to remain static artistically?
I don't think Mark is the type of artist who would ever stay still. One assumes Mark aspires to grow artistically for the rest of his working life like other artists of his stature.
I think the key to a satisfactory artistic life is to never, ever stop learning.
