I think you're right Tim, it's bit of an over-reach probably.

Check out Spensers Live usually on Thursdays. Always good fusion there. Take no notice of all the cynics when they talk about Fusion. There is only good and bad music. Keep at it and keep trying. Check out Garsed/Newman/Pantazis/Turcio, amazing musicians, but mostly the stuck in the mud ignore them! Remember there is only good music and bad music. Also listen to PBS Tuesday nights 8 pm, it may reveal a few things.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I'll eventually get myself into a groove down here hopefully.
I was at a very comfy stage of going to gigs/parties and getting involved in the ensuing jazz jam sessions, a lot of fun, and something that I really enjoyed doing. Hopefully I'll be able to fit back into this kind of scene.
Unfortunately I haven't really had a weekend to myself yet, and I've been interstate almost every weekend, which has been somewhat frustrating. Back to Sydney this weekend, but I'll be able to pick up my basses and bring them down, so there's a bonus :-)
Thanks again all.
Off topic, is there something I need to switch on to be notified that someone has replied to a thread I'm interested in?
