Today's Age EG plus a free jazz concert at Stonnington on Sunday, with the helpful advice that by 'free jazz' they mean free entry not "Ornette Coleman-style random tootling".

Maybe I'm just a GOM. But it pisses me off when people who think that rock music is all that matters think they can get a cheap laugh by sneering at jazz, and perpetuating the stereotype that jazz is somehow, at the same time, both comically absurd and hopelessly elitist.
