Could somebody explain to me why no other clubs are involved in the Melbourne International Jazz Festival? Most local musos hardly get a gig at Bennetts now, but Uptown,Paris Cat,Lebowski's and yes ,even Dizzys are dedicated jazz clubs, with no representation at the festival. Who makes these decisions? Are they open to scrutiny? I am not a muso, just a punter who loves the local scene and goes to as many clubs as I can.

"Most local musos hardly get a gig at Bennetts now" pardon me? We have a gig on every night (sometimes more than one every night) 90% of which involve (if not entirely made up of) local musos.
As for the rest, ask the festival to explain it, I doubt you'll get an answer here. Obviously it's because there is a conspiracy and we are all evil though (Bennetts).

I think we need a separate thread for Jeremy's t-shirts.
