Just an admin update.
I have decided to keep this forum as entry to members only (it's been that way for some time in fact). I have experimented with a more open format in the past but there are a number of reasons why I think restricted access is better.
For example earlier today in the thread "Awards" I quoted from private correspondence with Mark Pope. It would not be proper to do this on the open public record. It's good to be able to toss this stuff around within the community. If I remove the need to log in Google crawls over the threads and what we say here will show up very easily if someone is searching.
All in all I think we can have a more robustly free discussion if the forum is not fully public (as is the case with most people's Facebook accounts) but I'd welcome any comments on this policy.
