ABC and the election results

Tuning in to Mr Stanley last night (Sunday October 10) was a dream. Such a great show, I thought. I was bopping around my kitchen as I prepared a delightful (if I do say so myself) meal for two of salad of leeks, pinenut and cous cous w/ steamed asapargus and grilled fresh sardines.

Anyway getting back to Mal's Sunday show, I was just talking about what a great show it was and then it got better when he played one of my favourite artists Ms Jessica Williams from her new CD Live At Yoshi's (which I haven't got yet cos I'm skint). I was so happy, just there, in my kitchen with the radio, chopping leeks.

Mr Lurker says 90% of these posts are anonymous whinging, I think he ( it has got to be a bloke) needs a new calculator.

I am worried that after this election that in a few years there will be no ABC for me to listen to. Does that count as a whinge? At least I post under my name!

Pity I don't get the ABC over here... so it's like living in your imagined land... No Mal, No PBS, No RRR! And the place they call a Jazz Club here is a cafe with a back room that most people hire for parties... Which means anyone can hire it, and therefore book it, and between the caberet, parties, and extended cafe use, some promoters do get a chance to use it, though I haven't seen a gig there yet, nor heard of one happening anytime soon.... I'm like a fish out of water and my jazz skin is shrivelling.
Keep an extra ear to the scene for me and televise it ESP style to me if you can... Great to hear about the fish too, tis a land here without an ocean... all the fish comes frozen like coloured bricks. I'm thus eating a lot of chicken... they're everywhere I guess (except antartica I suppose).
And though I've never had the chance to go to Wang... dance an extra dance and drink another vodka for me... I give you my proxy to do with as you will...
