CD Baby sells Aussie Jazz CDs for free!

"we just sold 3 cds at cd baby in the last 2 weeks - its an amazing site for independant musicians. ive been advertising them on my (own) site for 2 months and not one bite!. Been checking out other peoples cds there.. you can listen to quite alot there too! just in their samples.

I tried to sing the praises of CDbaby on an earlier thread. Seems like a great way to go. When I last checked, there were well over 100 Australian arists on the site and none of them were of the jazz variety.

Just another point.

I think CDbaby is the go, and a prime vehicle for not selling ozjazz CDs for individual artists but also for spreading the ozjazz word generally.

However, the service is NOT free. If I recall correctly, they add about $4 to whatever price the artists set.

Anyone interested should check out their site. The message board has some pretty impressive testimonials.

That's always assuming that Australian jazz artists actually want to sell albums.
