Well the melbourne festival certainly has brought the forum to life, I hav'nt seen so much passionate writing for quite a while. Wish I could have been at Big Arsed Sunday, sounded like a great day/night. All my favourite elements - great music, food and wine. Al the people involved deserve a big pat on the back. Love the title of the day, it instantly reminded me of a story saxophonist Arthur Blythe related at a Wangaratta performance many years back. He was explaining how he came across the title for one of his pieces 'Hip Dripper', the story goes, he was following behind a very large arsed Afro American woman who was bouncing down the street with a wonderful rhythm. Very inspiring.
