www.abc.net.au/classic/jazztrack/Please bookmark this page on your desktop and click on it at least once a day if you want to make sure the ABC keep supporting broadcast with presenters of Jazz. Dig is cool but we don't want a computer system to take away Mal Stanley's job or program. To bookmark a page once you are there click File in your toolbar and when the drop down menu comes up scrool down to send, click send and it will send the page to your deskstop so you can click on it when you log on. Just Do it now please. Evil forces are out to destroy the ABC we must stop them before it is too late.

Also really worth dropping the ABC a note to let them know how disappointing their decision to axe the Daily Planet is; their committment to music is really dropping off. Whether you are a fan of the show or not it was one of the few national programs that regularly played non-mainstream Australian music offering access to a large audience particularly for Australian jazz musicians. The replacement show is yet another magazine style arts show: 'arts lite'. To me it's another example of the dumbing down of the ABC. Let them know if you agree at www.abc.net.au/rn/comments/guestbk/guestbk.htm

or ring them in Melbourne on 03 9626 1600 and ask to make a comment and they'll pass it on.
It is really important to do these things. Broadcasters pay a LOT of attention to this kind of lobbying.
ABC does seem to be moving to the wrong side of mainstream.
I love the Planet this is so sad.

As far as I can see the Dig Jazz streaming service is in addition to what the ABC does re Jazztrack...given that the guy who presents Jazztrack apparently chose all the music that went into DigJazz means he must know something about the ABC's plans....
