Just caught a little of the jazzmarathon at the Arts Centre as I was passing. When I first heard about it, I admit I thought it was a naff idea, but there were some great young players in there going for it - no idea who they were, but it seemed like a really good atmosphere and a fun thing to do. anyone playing there or heard any of it? is there a programme of bands anywhere?

I went down last night Garcon D'astro was playing with some other young people.
A wonderful woman called Denny set it up and she has done a brilliant job. They have a yamaha grand, a couch, gas heaters, a coffee stand next door, lighting, a stage, a tent, what more do you need? They got loads of press too. And they say HELLO when you come in. Well Done!
Go support it and take Denny a muffin, she hasn't slept much since it started!
Denny will go far, she's the kind of woman I'd hire in a flash if they improved my budget here at Worthy Land.
