Sam Anning, Dave Beck, Geoff Hughes with Alison Wedding live. Sam and Dave: a marriage made in heaven. Yes, we'll have a lot more of that please.
Alison's new direction has her music sounding stronger than ever. (Keep the puppies, Ali.)

Tim, you're right, she's hot. Didn't check out her voice, didn't want to spoil it.

Mags trio at Bennetts last night, great gig, very beautiful version of Lonely Woman.
I even enjoyed Bright Size Life, after hearing it so many times in ensemble classes it was nice to hear it played by these guys.

ABC Classic FM, last evening around 7.30:
James Morrison (piano) with an unnamed quartet, 'The road to Gundagai.'
Saints and angels, how very disgusting. A festival of abject tastelessness. Subsequently (and inaccurately) described by the announcer as 'a Bach-ish kind of fugue' — nowhere near the truth, at least to my ear.
A thoroughly depressing experience. No stars.

That is interesting. Morrison's inspiration for that piece was 'Nine Open Questions' I believe. I'm sure I heard that from someone, a cab driver perhaps. On another track, Jazztrack to be precise, enjoying the sessions cd and Adrian Sheriff's 'Blues for Lambie'. I do love the arrangement for the BLBB on that track, love to know the exact line up if the info is anywhere to be found.

Morrison's inspiration for that piece was 'Nine Open Questions' I believe. Not only can he play so many instruments, he sees into the future as well. My stars, what talent.
