When Bennetts Lane are not running a jazz festival what are they doing I don't get it? Please Explain? What is this thing ? Why do I have to book at Gaslight Records to get in?

possible answer: the word 'festival' attracts more public. it's something special that doesnt happen the other 7 nights a week, 50 weeks the year. you can witness that by the sheer program on offer. public get gnarly waiting in line to possibly not get in to see festival show. idea of having ticket reassures entrance [and adds to the whole appeal of that 'special festival feeling']. bennetts are'nt open in the morning to take phone calls or ticket collection. gaslight are open, normal - people waking hours. just a line of thought here- could be entirely wrong. you could try bennetts website for another answer.
