caught Roger Manins at Bennetts last night. He sounded superb, leading his NZ trio. Pity there were only about a dozen punters there.
They're on again on Tuesday. C'mon Melbourne, make an effort !!

I was at bennetts last 2 Tuesday nights for an awesome gig with Colin Hopkins,Andrew Gander,Frank disario and Gianni marinucchi(?).Place was packed and it was a really beautiful gig. 4 guys listening to each other !! You never know when people will come out!!!

look sometimes there is just too much Jazz in Melbourne, you can't go to everything, and keep a day job at the same time, it is impossible to keep up, sadly. If you think about all the gigs, and radio shows that you feel should be supporting, that's a lot of listening time in one week. Each week I decide to attend so many gigs and each week I fail miserably. When I retire my I know my listening quota will increase dramatically - only 20 years to go.
