Hi everyone, just wanted to say that I heard Tiger Rex After Willow Neilson told me about him and that he was going to be in Sydney....He was playing with this weird band at the Bondi hotel.Tim Rollinson was the only guy I knew..must have been some guys from the con. Anyway.............
Man the whole place went silent when they heard him, I mean he just focused the whole room on him as soon as he started playing..and the stuff he was playing...I dont know if he has been studying with Steve Coleman AND Steve Wilson but thats sort of what he sounded like....Dale Barlow actually came down at the end of the second set to hear him and it turns out, he was an old friend of Dales! "Not many people know this but Tiger is a great piano player also". Thats what Dale told me.
Anyway, if this guys turns up again in Melbourne, you guys should go and hear him...he said on the Mike that he is "coming to slaughter"
