Following suggestions from members, I have set up an account via Paypal where you can donate to make Ozjazzforum ad-free. Note: you do not need to be a Paypal user, just have a credit card. I will collect the funds through Paypal and remit them to Proboards who host this forum. Since we are non-US they will only accept them as an international money order. The $15 bank fee for this will be my contribution

Suggested donation is $10 (Australian) since the equivalent approximate US amount ($US7) purchases one month of ad-free service (up to 50,000 page views). You can donate less or more if you like.

I agree - ad free is good. In fact as I sit here sipping on a cool refreshing diet coke and eating my delicious, less than 5 grams of fat, subway chicken teriyaki 12 inch roll, I can't help but feel that advertising is consuming us as a people. Anyway, I must hurry along as I need to visit amazon.com to look for more exciting jazz releases on my favourite record lables, such as blue note, CBS and ECM. I also am feeling very comfortable typing away on my Apple Macintosh G5 computer. Remember, Diet Coke, Just for the taste of it

In the two weeks since I invited donations there has only been one donation, enough for two months ad-free. I will wait another week to see if anyone else wishes to contribute and then arrange the payment to ProBoards. When the initial ad-free period runs out I will invite donations again, although they can be made at any time.
