funny l looked today because l haven't been online for awhile,

stinky, l have been listening to you on some tapes l have of mark simmonds gigs, very nice, also spent most of the day yesterday listening to "virtue" as l'm currently making up some cdr compilations of aussie music to give to some of the frenchies here...maybe they will learn a thing or two!

Will, Simmonds wrote so many great tunes, Virtue was one of the best, the Underground was my fave. I learnt so much playing with him in those days, but when I listen back to my playing with him I realise how far I've come since then, I was but a musical child then, and still only a teenager now!
After playing with Barker the other day we got to talking and mentioned how we'd love Mark to hear us now as so much he was telling us back then has really taken shape in our playing now, it was a little beyond us then, well, way beyond us.
With the news Tuggsy gave us of the loss of one of his students I'm reminded of Mark allways talking of Jamie Feilding and the words from the liner notes on FIRE , can't remember exactly but something like " the one we let get away, to our eternal shame".

heya stinky, yeah it's kinda freaky listening to this stuff, and the same goes for me, a lot of the stuff he was talking about and playing, and suggesting that I try I'm also still digesting... sorry but who / what is the "news Tuggsy gave us of the loss of one of his student"  |
