Fire was the only album Mark did and I don't imagine he'll do any more. I would love to see him have a 'come back' but I doubt it. Last I heard he had severe teeth trouble and was waiting for the public health system to give him new ones. This is why it would be great if Antboy could release these bootlegs, there really is some amazing stuff on there that is an important part of this country's musical history.

Why not approach a label..(Birdland would be the obvious choice)..if the audio quality is reasonable, artist clearances can usually be negotiated.....

I had a copy of those bootlegs breifly on minidisc, but then i lost them along with my player.

but really really complicated as you'd imagine,
and probably finding Mark and getting him to agree would be the hardest part of it! let alone finding the money to do it, tracking down all the personel, getting their aproval, editing and mastering all the material etc etc...
but it's something I've definately thought about a lot...

tracking down mark would definately be hard, but I'm sure nobody is going to have a problem with you releasing them, definately not the personel, and surely not mark. if you made sure you kept aside a % of the profits for mark... nobody's gonna sue you will, you're far to charming and good-looking.
and as to editing and mastering... well, theres enough people out there with those sort of skills that owe a debt or to to mark and/or to you... can't be that expensive.
