maybe we're lucky that only recent australian albums are available. it sucks that our recorded history is being lost/forgotten but at the same time its fucken great that the records of tinkler, mcgann, keller, nock, muller etc are recognised and respected in this country. maybe in 30-40 years time everyone will be buying "fire" and "angels and rascals" in their latest reissue? and the aussie artists of the time will be missing out cos everyone's checking out the 90s/2000s reissues....?

Hi All
A big thanks to John Sharpe at the Australian Jazz Archive for providing a list of pre-90s classic OzJazz recordings for inclusion in the Top 50 poll. An Australian Jazz section has been added to the site's main menu and reviews have been posted for many of the records John recommended.
Cheers Peter
