Bernie is not only a BEAUTIFUL musician- he is a BEAUTIFUL person as well. Along with the new ballads release, please check him out on Sam Keevers's new Nonet recording coming out May 10- it's a double CD (one called "No Conditions", the other called "No Exceptions") that will be released on Jazzhead!!!

I heard the ballads thing on mal stanleys show late last year. It was truelly beautifull, Bernie has an amazing ability to reach the core of the music seemingly without any effort. I cannot wait to get my hands on this recording.

The thing that really floors me about Bernie is his humble attitude and sincerity on his axe

I don't know man but these unmitigated attacks upon up and coming sydney talent is pretty low... I thought Mark was trying to raise the bar in here... Besides i don't think that your playing warrants an opinion (or ego) thats as foul as yours jose...

Hi Jose Cuervo and Gerrycan. You guys obviously know each other. Please take it outside, we don't need this here.
Jose I have deleted your two offensive posts which are unacceptable and put a warning on your membership. (Warnings are now visible only to me).
I really wish I didn't have to waste my time with this stuff.

Whatever happenned to the masters of Bernies 1983 trio date for EMINEM records, its a crime they haven't been released on CD. I agree he is a legend and would easily fit into the 'hidden masters' thred, Its only been the last 15 years that he has been recorded more frequently, special thanks to Tim Dunn of Rufus records for that. Can't wait for the release of the duets with Paul Grabowsky, what I heard on Mal's program is beautiful, they have caught Bernies sound spot on.
