Yesterdays Metro in the SMH has a piece on the sad situation of NSW Entertainment regulations [POPE] . The locals of Sydney have been trying for some years now to ease stupid bylaws that have been killing music in Sydney and NSW for over 15 years. All credit to them.
But what if we could integrate into the Grog Gamble Sport culture that is so dear to our fellow compatriots. Grog ? well we're known to be as good as the best there. Sport? Music can be as competitive as any other game . but Betting . thats where we get left behind .

How about a sweep on how many choruses solo a sax player takes? Or maybe bets on which rhythm section players cracks on a two-feel first and starts walking?

Or how many bars in a solo will go by before certain trumpet players will go above a certain high note. $500 on not many.
