Tonight, from 8pm at Chapel Off Chapel, 2 bands from Sydney, both associated with the Jazzgroove Association up there.
The Elana Stone Band is led by singer Elana Stone, who won the National Jazz Awards at Wangaratta last year. She has done quite a few gigs at bennetts lately with Melbourne players, this will be her first gig here with her gegular band : Aaron Flower (guitar), Zoe Hauptmann (bass) & Evan Mannell (drums).
The first half will feature the Alcohotlicks : Evan Mannell with Aaron Flower & Ben Hauptmann on guitars. Hard to describe their sound, bit of a jazz approach with some rock sounds, plenty of energy. They're a pretty popular band in Sydney, well worth checking out.
