Well, I hate to be a turncoat after supporting Australia all the way, but after all my formative years being called wog, I was happy to cheer Italy through to the world cup final!!! (I even managed stay awake Mark!!). I am playing at Bennetts lane on Tuesday night, and have decided to throw out all my original repertoire and only play Italian nationalist songs.And maybe a few euro pop hits from "The best of World Cup" album.Please come down in droves and support me in this endevour.I am often accused of sounding like chet baker..Well fuck that, chet wouldn't know a soccer ball from a needle...Now to tell the band....

Maybe he did extra well offloading his house. With an expectation of 3.25 million (see p.3 of the Domain section of The Age on Saturday) and a sale before the auction announced on Sunday morning, you never know...

While I am still savoring the euphoria of the win ,and realising the foly of my original statement (thanks Tim,you can not compare a needle to a soccer ball) I will anounce here and now that I WILL be playing "O Sole Mio" in the first set, complete with big pause (ala caruso) before the chorus..Damn,if only Italy had one before the Cd was recorded, I could have really gone somewehere with this concept...I will also still be sporting some italian parafinalia to show my true colours......entry free for all italians...
