I caught the end of Sam's gig at Bennetts tonight... IT BLEW ME AWAY! I was sorry I didn't see the entire gig. You guys should make sure you see this guy play the bass... he is an incredible player- beautiful tone, great time, writes great tunes, solos like a mo-fo. I think the quintet is playing again tomorrow night at 303 in Northcote (Sam Anning, Jamie Oehlers, Sam Keevers, Ben Vanderwal, and Paul Williamson). Everyone played their butts off! Thanks for the great listening experience, guys!!!

Was impressed with Sams performance at the Freedman awards, based on the performance on the night and not privy to the other aspects of their presentations. For me it was between Julien and Sam's groups. Can't make Melbourne but I believe Sam will be performing with Jamie Oehlers band on their August tour in Wollongong. Mr Keevers will also be appearing in wonderful Wollongong with Jamie, Alison are you coming.
