MEDIA RELEASE September 6, 2006
*For Immediate Release* After more than seven years of great music and initiatives such as jam sessions, ‘youth jazz project’ and a house big band, plus being a key venue for The Cat Empire in their early days, it is with much regret that we advise Dizzy’s will close for business on Saturday October 21.
The building, under new ownership seeks an increase in rent that is unfortunately commercially unviable for the club.
The final show will be at 9pm, Saturday, October 21 will feature many Dizzy’s favourite and regular musicians, in a huge jam session led by directors Roger Clark & Steve Sedergreen.
Please direct all media inquiries to Christine Sedergreen, publicist, on 0419 207 700 or csedergreen@fairfax.com.au
Roger Clark and Steve Sedergreen will be available for interview and comment.
