PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Distribution September 5, 2006 We are deeply saddened at the passing of Steve Irwin. He was an inspiration to all Australians with his dedication to bringing awareness on conservation, the environment and protection of wildlife. His tireless energy, passion and work touched the world. Our thoughts and prayers extend to his family. As Ambassadors of Wildlife Warriors, Steve Irwin’s wildlife conservation organisation, we suggest the best way to honour his work and life is to donate to www.wildlifewarriors.org.au. Jess & Lisa Origliasso, The Veronicas

yeah... it's really funny.. and I've seen so many Australians in different parts of the world laughing about this in the last few days... but SHIT.. there's a young woman and mother, who has lost her husband and father of her children and is probably feeling worse than most of these people can ever imagine right now............really fucking funny. Jesus... being cynical and oh so above mainstream media because it is so shallow.... well, I feel like i have really seen the face of the humanist, anti-media reactionaries in the last few days. my heart goes out to his fsmily.

Huh? Nothing funny about it, to me. At all.
But the Irwin stuff aside, doncha find it like rather fantastic that The Veronicas felt obliged to chime in?

Toddler Bob Irwin: "Where's my daddy?"
Funny? NOT.
The man's ego and selfishness make me fucking angry.
