whatever G.Len...
Hey, I just got back from Shannon Barnett Ensemble gig at La Mama as part of MWIJF.
Man, that was the best gig of the year for me. Congratulations to all the players. The groove was solid, the solos were exciting and adventurous, ensemble playing was tight and exciting. Shannon's writing is excellent -i am still buzzing from the gig. So damn exciting to hear music of that quality in Melbs. I wanna hear it again. Maybe Al Bare will give them a gig?

Ditto, Gb, I also thought it was ultra fabulous. Everyone played their arses off. So much energy and so much texture. Congrats Shannon, you're a star. x

A 7-handicapper beating a 19-handicapper is no big news, just business as usual ; it's when the 19-handicapper triumphs that 'bitch' status is assigned.
