Ya know, I've heard alot of complaints about small audiences and lack of money over the years. I probably made a few myself (mmm). But, damn, I gotta say when you do a great gig, it might be a shame more people didn't see it or that you didn't make more money, but thats nothing to do with the creation of the music and the artistic satisfaction you get from that moment. Last week I was lucky enough to have such a night. I've worked my arse off on playing my instrument and the music I play, many hours of listening and practice for a slow and many times undetectable gain, but playing improvised music with great musicians last week, to less than 20 people ahead of a well paid corporate gig absolutely rocked my world. Bottom line is that having the balls to stick to what you're after no matter what, is in the long run really so fucking satisfying. I gotta say too that it would be hard for me anywhere else in the world to get 5 muso's together like that at short notice and get such satisfaction and create such great music. I was taken places with these people this week that has inspired me no end and given me so much 'validation' for the work I do as a muso, I thank them. I also apologise for my out of character post, at least my spelling is still shit.

That one is already reserved for Kevin Rudd by MX. I sent the editor an SMS pointing out he was showing his age using a cartoon character to lampoon Rudd that half of his (young) readers wouldn't be familiar with. I'm listening to Jarrett at the Bluenote and wondering if he was ever on Southpark, and if so what his voice would sound like?

I doubt that any change to his voice would be required !
