Trying not to stray from the topic. This is in response to a post in the 'If you were AD' thread. Punter, sorry Peter, I wasn't being critical of Tinkler's musicality. In fact I thnk he's brillant. It's he's use of the english langauge I was referring to. oj, you've hardly been a bastion of correct english usage. Correct English! Ooh I love this topic.! Which dictionary are we using? What year is it? What part of the world are we in? Language evolves, just like music, comprendo? The Queen of England (she's on your money) speaks very differently today than she did 50 years ago, accent has changed and her vocabulary has moved with the times. So was QE 2 speaking proper English then or is she correct now? Who does the language belong to? Sweeping judgmental statements! Where would we be without them? Crikey guys, we'd be bored to tears! Anyone who doesn't fully comprehend the meaning of what I type in my posts is , like, just so totally wanksville and a freakin loser. Feel free to discuss among yourselves, I promise not to kvetch about the responses. Well, not within earshot of you. |
