Well, the plan is to not buy him a return ticket when he does the Stonnington gigs........so he'll just have to stay in Melbourne and play with everyone here. (Don't tell him !)

Does that mean he'll just been drawn to gigs by some 6th sense? Somehow he'll just show up, his drums will be there and... well what d'ya know, there's some guys here with a gig who need a drummer! Or are we going to have clones of him, so instead of a house-drum kit, you get a house-Simon Barker? Will each clone have some subtle defect? One clone won't play in odd-times, one will only play upside down, one has dread-locks and a goatee... |

if sb is thinkin bout a move south.......... my wife wil wanna go to all his gigs ..........she never wants to go to my gigs anymor e,,,.....simonbarker so ur younger.... better looking & more talented than me......... doesnt mean you should move to melbourne!!!! .........its a great big urban myth that mlbourne has more jazz gigs too. and the food is crap/

if we keep starting and continuing threads about musicians who don't live in Melbourne do you think we'd get more of them on OJF?
If we can get Simon Barker to move to Melbourne great but everyone else has to come with him and do gigs Bayside please! (What is it with Northcote and Brunswick?)
Speaking of the more interesting side of town... AJ, the Stonnington line up seems pretty good to me and the Councillors love you too. Three cheers for Mr Jackson.
