Just a reminder, the 2nd annual Australian Jazz Awards (the Bell Awards) presentation night will be at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne on 25 August.

Nominations are now open in all categories. Anyone is welcome to make a nomination, but that doesn't involve just sending a list of names. For CD-based awards, 6 copies of the CD are required (which means that the artist and/or label would need to support the nomination). For other categories, a CD might help but is not essential ; what is required is a detailed supporting statement.

Ok: I'll vote but not until they get nominated, I can't afford to send you 6 copies of anyone's cd on an Aid workers salary. If you don't manage to flog all the tickets I'll take two at Jazzboiler rates.


Adrian: Is there a written TOR or equivalent governance thingy for the MIJF board: I'd love to see it at some stage, if they have one.
