I last saw Ray last year at the Melbourne Blues Festival and couldn't stop crying when he finished - I felt that it was the last time I was going to see him and it was. I just found out he died and I'm crying. As a little girl, his music was the one thing that could bring my family together. As an adult, his music helped mend my heart when it was broken and I dedicated an album to him and his songs. My mother is going to be devastated when she finds out. Our loss, His gain.
