I have a more palatable suggestion: rather than asking Jules for 50 bucks.. go to their place and take over their CD player Friends are awesome.. when it comes to listening music needs ;D

I think Jules and Glen have similar financial planning priorities.
And what I'm listening to...
at this exact moment Wayne Shorter Night Dreamer. Two words people. Elvin. Triplets.

That's funny, I thought his last name was 'Jones'.

Many people mistakenly believe this. I've even heard people claim that Elvin has two jazz playing brothers, but this is clearly not the case, as demonstrated by the considerably lower proportion of rolling triplets heard in their playing.

The Beach Boys, Pet Sounds.
To satisfy those who want me to say how I really feel about this album... "Fuck yeah!"
And for those who want a reason to listen to it... "some of the most moving and intelligent 2min 20sec pop writing ever, eg God Only Knows and Wouldn't It Be Nice." This album forgives any crap they put out over the following couple of decades. Actually, the first chord change of the bridge on Wouldn't It Be Nice alone forgives all their rubbish like Kokomo.

You should have a chat with Aaron Flower about the Beach Boys.

Ali McG - you wouldn't read about it. Stumbling around a second hand market here the other day, what do I come across? Pet Sounds! Marvellous.
...and yes, it is some of the best pop ever recorded. They managed to fit so much into under 3 minutes (or just over). Knocks spots of 'the era that fashion forgot' (i.e. the 80s).
I'm also checking out d'Angelo at the moment - incredible vocals. Also the Beatles. It's a bit of a quality vocal fest at the moment....although, as the jazz nerds will point out, not much 'jazz'. Bah. Never liked the word anyway. Well, only in conjunction with a certain four letter word.
