On Pandora: Webb Pierce, Ernest Tubb, Hank Thompson, Little Jimmy Dickens ... "Take me as I am (or let me go)". Makeovers suck.

I bought Poses recently and wasn't really sure that I'd like it. I hadn't really heard much of Rufus before, but I'm loving the album. I thought maybe his voice would get to me after a while, but it's not been the case at all. I gotta say though that I don't really like Martha. Oh well, one out of two ain't bad.
My cheese and ham for the day - Sergio Mendes "Equinox." It may be high in saturated cheese, but you can't help smiling when you hear those guys groove!

what's the point of spending all the time/$/energy of going overseas, if you can't gloat a little when you get back home ?

Don't encourage her! Gloating is unseemly - especially by musos and most particularly by trombonists.
