Zac Hurren Trio. Oh yeah! Also Josh Redman's new one, boring but I like the drummer, Ali Jackson. And Coltrane - 'Ballads' - nice and romantic, they way I like it. Also 'Stadium Arcadium' - Red Hot Chilli Peppers, this one's been really growing on me, I reckon they've still got it.
Lot's of Dexter lately, to learn some songs for a band. I've never really owned much, but I can't get enough these days!
Looking forward to hearing Hannachops's's's', even if I have to fast forward the unromantic trumpet solos.

It's Marc's thing, I just played on it, at very highly paid session rates.

Didn't Sonny Rollins write a song for him? I think actually Aquinas was named after the Sonny Rollins tune. Apparently his mum was a huge fan. Mark: sounds terrific - one of the most beautiful melodies going! It's only actually the words that are by Tom, though, not the music - am I right?

The hymn is attributed to him since he wrote the text, but nobody knows who "wrote" the music. Those plainsongs are oral tradition stuff only later notated in neumes. Some have roots in the Orthodox church and hence back to more Middle Eastern roots. Pange lingua's got that lovely Phrygian thing going (I'm using the Roman not the Spanish tune).
