Bud Powell - Jazz Giant. There is an incredible tune of his own 'Celia' its just wonderful. Sonny Rollins - at the Village Vanguard Joh McNeil - Sleep won't come Sonny at the Village Vanguard - what kind of gig is that? Why was I not invited? What a gig to miss! Roll on Twangaratta, I need a major course of live music with no (work) distractions. Will there be an air guitar final too, AJ?

The Necks "Townsville". New one, recorded live, from earlier this year. This one somehow reminds me of classical Indian music. Really gains momentum but maintains a floating kind of feel throughout. Beautiful, i reckon.

Bennetts Lane Big Band "The Snip" - I hadn't (and still haven't...) heard anything about it's release, but found it at JB's. Sounds great - good for us out-of-towners who never get a chance to catch the band
