But it is so rarely that anyone says what they really think around here anyway, that it will always be that,
and if you talk of anything too serious everone says, "oh, it's getting too serious, let's talk about dicks again!" , which is also cool, but there should be room for both,
what shits me here is that there is probably a wealth of knowledge here but too many people are being too PC and keep their mouths shut...
So my advice is Vicki, stop being miss PC mother hen, Adrian and Kenny, say something other than about golf and slippers, Tinkler, get a fucking job, Jamie and Geoff, quit your jobs and get a life, and the rest of you...

I refuse to be a whore, I already prostitute myself musically, why would I do it to my body? Stupid question really.
Too PC, my oath it is. Let me start a topic,
1. the new Necks album sucks the big one, sounds like Buddha Bar but soft.
2. a lot of students nowdays seem to have a smug confidence about themselves but they sound like shit, what hope have they got?
3. grant money is too often given to people who can write a good application but have fuck all to offer.
4. Melbourne may have a dark side but Sydney has a soft acquiescent side that produces boring major chord music.
5. Our society is far more conservative now than it has ever been and this is reflected in the lack of support for the arts.

Marksiks, you are talking about my next door neighbour and friend there. Fiona works very hard and has done a gruelling stint on the Australia Council, a voluntary post. Want to read through 400 plus applications every few months? Go ahead, enjoy!

Sorry, but I don't get what being on the Australia Council board has to do with doing a Phd in composition or anything else for that matter. (other than being on the Australia Council board). Also, I'm not sure how reading 400 applications/month will help develop compositional skills.
