Obviously you really know what you're talking about. A standard-bearer for the collection of reliable information and its discerning use. Why don't you ask Mark if I'm supportive?
Arse in a basket, what a load of crap this is. I'm struggling to remember a single sensible thing you've said since you arrived. And that attack on Frank is, if not psychotic, then at the very least worryingly bizarre.

This thread is about Mark and Visions and how awesome it is for him to receive a glowing review recognising the album's achievements. If you cant see that - you are blind to the greater wonders of the universe. If you infused as much energy into your musicianship as you do your stirring post, I too could be a supplicant of such talent. And if The Jaco wills it, if you are 'normal': please indeed label me as psychotic.

The potential is that the support from jazzreivew can direct MORE of an international focus towards Australian Jazz. Of course peeps take note of whats going on here. Thanks to great talents like Paul Scott Jonathan Ken Mark and every other jazz muso who has ever been and have chosen to follow their dream and rove the world on a pilgramage for music,  Australian Jazz is well received in the global arena. But there's nothing like adding another brick to the already marvellous mansion. Besides: the album is just damn good. Seeing the less than enthusiastic articles written by certain Australian 'reveiwers' (lightly applied thank you) just grinds it in that they were WRONG and suggests... that maybe... just maybe.... they have no fucking clue what the hell they are on about. EDIT: I thought it best I add 'certain' - just to differentiate |

Whoa, I go away for less than a day and this happens. I haven't heard the album, and maybe I never will, but GO JIMMY HAUPTMANN!!!!!

I think it would fair to say that Jim's talents were underutilized on this particular project, however it's still a pretty slick release.
