I would love to go, but if they sell out I'm stuffed. Can't book, no credit card. Unhappy.

Excellent gig. A true taste of what is great about Australian jazz. Congratulations to the festival workers for the excellent organisation, great music. The website and promo material is first class too, in fact it is the best I've seen since returning back to Australia as far as jazz festivals go.
Can't wait to hear the CD too. Oooh I do love living in Melbourne.
On another matter just saw Swan Lake which was superb except NO LIVE ORCHESTRA! Flipping hell! A disgrace.

It was a FANTASTIC event, I must say... I enjoyed all 3 acts so much. Made me even more sad that I'm moving back to the states...

Yep, i was at MIUC. Phil Bywater's new quartet is just beautiful. I think he has found a fantastic voice with that group - they have a new CD coming out too - it's stunning. Tim Pledger's trio was very intense, also great! I played in Harrow at the end with Adam Simmo, Phil Noy & myslef on baritone/alto saxes and Ted Vining, Niko Schauble and Sean Baxter on drums... it was heaps of fun. Great crowd too.
