whatever it is, it will be inadequate Interesting ... you can quote yourself. Anyway, Tim, the reason it has not changed is banal: to use any of the alternatives would have busted the line, so it stayed as was. Print has its constraints.

At this moment: 06:33 UK Summer Time On my iPod - Steve Waddell's Creole Bells and 'Goanna March' which unless I miss my guess is a Roger Bell composition.

That's some good, patriotic listening there, Doctor Tim.

I recently tackled the crazy piles of cds at Music Without Frontiers in Hobart, and managed to fill a few more gaps in the collection...
Amongst others:
Professor Longhair - Rock and Roll Gumbo Art Pepper + 11 Jelly Roll Morton Library of Congress Recordings Milton Nascimento - Clube da Esquina

And I highly recommend Music Without Frontiers for anyone in Hobart with time to kill (patience is helpful too, as is the ability to balance piles of cds)

Another trip to Hobart, another stack of discs...
This time some Tom Ze (Estudando a Bossa - Nordeste Plaza). Anyone else checked him out (not jazz, I know)? This is my first foray into his music. Interesting voice...
Kurt Rosenwinkel - Heartcore. I've enjoyed it more than I expected!
