Personally I couldn't care if music is "Now" or from the 60s. I listen to and play music from the 1760s so in that context all this argument about "That's OLD shit man" just because the music is a mere 40 years old is pretty damn funny. Ha ha ha ha. You want OLD shit, check out Bach and Handel, or Palestrina for that matter. Still sounds fresh now. And it IS "today's music" because the universals it addresses are exactly the same now. The rest is all STYLE and FASHION. Who wants to score artistic brownie points on those! They're the clothing, not the person.
